This past weekend Justin and I drove out to Yosemite NP to backpack near Tuolomne Meadows. We made it onto the trail by about 1pm and had a relatively gently hike up to Budd Lake (the first picture). This is where we camped for the night. As you can see the lake and surroundings were beautiful. We also had a perfect view of Cathedral Peak, which we planned to hike on Sunday. Unfortunately, a steady rain all night kept us from being able to make the trek. Despite making it to the car drenched, it was a perfect opening to some fall backpacking!
