The first part of the summer started off with some house work. We finished up the floor in our master bedroom and put in all of my (gigantic) furniture. It's funny how the furniture doesn't seem so big anymore in that room! Thank you to Matt and Michelle who graciously babysat my first dresser for 5 years! We then painted the little bedroom green and made it into our office and Ritter's new bedroom. Now when were working on bills or other fun things we can look at our huge hydrangea bush out the window. Once the office was moved, I could paint the front room, which is a light tan color. For now the room is pretty empty but one day it will be the music room. We also painted the closet in the master bedroom a slightly darker brown than the room in the front. The last of our painting was an accent wall (red- yippee!) in the dining room and we finished that off with a beautiful dining table. We can finally eat dinner at a table again.
To cap off the summer, Justin and I have been doing a lot of yard work. We finished cleaning up the front of the house where we had to put in our drainage pipe. We did A LOT of trimming, weeding, and pruning. And Justin is working on the outdoor pluming so the drip system and back sprinklers will be on a timer! Whew!
